Meet Thembani Mnyandu

At only eight years old, Thembani Mnyandu is a first time author and presenter. Her book, Sindi is the perfect mix of her three passions: classic fairy tales, her Zulu culture and of course princess dresses! While reading one day she thought aloud, "Hey! Wouldn't it be cool if there was a Zulu version of Cinderella?"...That was the beginning of ‘Sindi’ Thembani lives in Maryland, USA with her parents and three siblings.

Meet Desaray Mnyandu

Desaray is the author of ‘Imbila’s Tale’ and ‘99 Zulu Proverbs and Sayings.’ Desaray spent her childhood traveling with her family which sparked her love of learning about languages and cultures. She now writes to introduce children to the beautiful cultures of Africa, particularly Zulu culture. She is a proud wife and homeschool mom of four (including Thembani) and spends her free time sewing, drawing and trying new recipes

Shayna Renee Olivier, Illustrator

Shayna Olivier is a whimsical fine artist with a passion for nature and animals. Working in mostly watercolors and pencil, she creates super whimsical and dreamlike artworks. She spent her childhood living in the small fishermen’s village of Herolds Bay where her imagination and love for nature developed. After years of struggle she silently built up her own art business named Shayna Paints. Today she creates paintings for people from all over the world and all walks of life.
